The Husky is wheeled maintenance and recovery vehicle WMRV...The Husky is wheeled maintenance and recovery vehicle WMRV. In 1977 Canadian Armed Forces placed an order with the Diesel Division of General Motors of Canada Ltd for 350 6x6 Mowag Piranha. To the middle of 1980s about 500 vehicles were made, 27 of which were Husky WMRV for field repair and recovery work. The husky has a crew of 3 and is fitted with HIAB 650A crane with a capacity of 4536 kg. The hull of the vehicle is of all-welded steel armor. The vehicle is fully amphibious, employing two propellers at the rear. Before entering the water a trim vane is erected at the front of the vehicle.
